Welcome to The Annapolis Maritime Museum’s Oyster Blog!
On this blog, you will find everything you need to know about oysters! You will also be able to track the spat counted and put in cages by local middle schools as they grow during the winter. By checking back, you will see what’s going on with these oysters, as well as The Chesapeake Bay, as we monitor spat and water quality each week.
We will create posts that keep you updated on what is going on at the museum and how the spat are doing. Additionally, all of the different school’s spat and water quality data can be found in the “Spat Tracker” tab if you want more information.
